Kavi Mailing List Manager Help
The Full Logs tool is used to create customized views of the logs where all changes to the Kavi Mailing List Manager database are automatically recorded. Logs entries include when the change occurred, who initiated the change and what action was taken. The information in the Full Logs is highly detailed and includes which database fields changed and the new values in these fields. The logs contain a lot of technical information, so use this tool when the information you require is not available through other, more user-friendly, logs and reports tools.
The Full Logs differ from the Subscriber Report and Subscriber Logs in the following ways:
The Full Logs show the data object, or skin, that was changed, rather than the specific subscriber whose information changed.
They include changes made to List Types, ezmlmrc files and other configuration settings.
They show the new values of changed fields.
The Full Logs tool offers search capabilities that are not available with other tools, such as the ability to search by item key.
Generate a detailed view of real-time changes made to all data fields in the Kavi Mailing List Manager database.
Search by item key.
View the value of a changed field.
Download this information.
Use the search fields to set your search criteria. The results include those entries that meet all your search criteria.
- After This Time
Use these fields to set a point in time if you only want to see results from the following time period.
- Before This Time
Use these fields to set a point in time if you only want to see results from the preceeding time period.
The time fields can be used together to specify a bounded time range beginning at the time set in the After This Time fields and ending at the time set in the Before This Time fields.
- Who Initiated Action
To see actions entered by a specific user, enter a username. Enter 'system' to see automated changes, and 'anonymous user' to see changes made through publicly accessible tools.
- What Action Was Taken
Specify an action to search for changes of a specific type (e.g., 'added,' 'edited,' 'deleted,' 'email') or the name of a specialist (i.e., the DataSkin that performs the kind of action that you are trying to locate in the logs).
- Action Details
Specify an action detail to search for changes related to that detail (e.g., field name, field value, etc.). The search capabilities provided by this versatile field include the ability to search for email addresses, item key and myriad other details, including partial matches.
A view of the Full Logs is displayed according to the search criteria you provided. Results are limited to 1000 entries. If your search was truncated or you don't see the information you seek, click the Back button and refine your search criteria.
You may notice that there is more than one entry (i.e., more than one row in the results table) for a single subscriber or mailing list. This happens when a change affects more than one database table. Many Mailing List Manager tools change data in multiple tables simultaneously. For instance, a change in a subscriber's email address affects all mailing list to which this address is subscribed.

The date and time of the change.
- Who Initiated Action
The username of the user initiating the change. The username 'system' indicates an automated or uploaded change. If this is 'Anonymous User,' the change was made from a publicly accessible page.
The type of activity, the database table and the unique item key identifying the data object affected by the change (usually a DataSkin).
The names of fields affected by the change and the new field values.
