Congratulations to our 2011 CEA Technology & Standards Award winners!
The CEA Technology Leadership Award is presented for commitment to excellence to recipients who have made significant contributions to the CEA Technology & Standards program's work to advance the state-of-the-art in consumer electronics. This year's winners were Mark Eyer, Director of Systems for the Technology Standards Office at Sony Electronics; Wayne Luplow, Vice President for LG Electronics' Zenith R&D subsidiary; and James Tranchina, Vice President of Engineering at Audiovox Electronics Corp., a subsidiary of Audiovox Corporation.
The CEA Technology Achievement Award is presented for commitment to excellence to recipients who have made significant contributions to the CEA Technology & Standards program while focused on new technologies or significant enhancements to existing technologies, and who have been engaged in CEA Technology & Standards activities for less than two years. This year's winner was Jon Richardson of EchoStar Technologies Corporation.
The awards were presented on October 26, 2011, during the CEA Technology & Standards Awards Dinner at the CEA Industry Forum, held this year at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego, California.
