CEA Standards Development Procedures
All participants in CEA's ANSI-accredited standards development activities must follow the rules described in CEA-EP-23, as well as the requirements described in the CEA Legal Guides. Further, anyone who knows of a patent that is required to implement a CEA standard must disclose this patent to the group working on the standard as early in the standards development process as possible. Patent holders are required to provide a statement to CEA indicating that they will license their patents under reasonable and non-discriminatory terms.
